Come see Spiderweb Salon's famous RADIO POETS live on the stage at Dan's Silverleaf in a very special fundraiser for our Mental Health Project (You Are Here) in collaboration with DMAC Denton!! Hosted by some of our favorite KUZU DJs and spiderbabes. Join these amazing poets in discussing and destigmatizing mental health while supporting our collaborative community initiative to provide individualized therapy and support group structures for local creatives!!
There will be a silent poetry auction hosted by the poets themselves and a community bake sale run by the babes of Spiderweb's baking blog Wake & Bake (Caitlin Childs, Storie Cunningham (Golden Boy Coffee!), and courtney marie!). Show cover is donation-based (money or goods for the bake sale!) and all the proceeds for all the things go to the mental health project.
Come early, doors are at 6, and show starts at 7!

ABOUT SPIDERWEB SALON:
Our collective's goals are simple and haven't changed all that much since we first began in 2012, but we're working harder than ever to be oriented toward social justice, skill sharing, and community building. We always aim to create & collaborate constantly, to curate places, events, and publications where folks can develop and share their creativity, learn new skills, and come together to create a space of radical love and care for one another. Spiderweb Salon has a zero-tolerance policy for racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or discriminatory hate in any form; it is of the utmost importance to us that our community has a safe space to share their art, try new things, make lifelong friends and collaborators, and express themselves freely. If you align with these values and want to take your creative output to new heights, let’s create together!
ABOUT DMAC:

DMAC intends to achieve the preservation, promotion, and continuation of the unique and culturally significant musical and artistic heritage of Denton through programs aimed at improving the lives and livelihoods of local musicians and artists and encouraging new musicians and artists to thrive and put down roots in Denton.
